90 Years

Momma passed on June 17, 2025. I took her to the ER on April 5, 2025. She spent 5 days in the ICU and then made the Medical Care her home for the rest of her time. I was there with her every day, except a few, until her passing. I spent a few nights as well. At first she was optimistic about being there and so was I. She got involved in bingo and visited with old friends. Lots of family and friends visited her as well. We held her 90th birthday party at the facility. It was precious time with her that I will always teasure. Just less than a month after her birthday I wrote her this song. I sang it for her and then we sang it together. She wanted a copy of it to hang in her room, so I wrote out the words on a canvas for her. As time went on, the medical news was dimmer and the pain was increasing. Mom asked me to pray for her, that the Good Lord would take her. That prayer was the hardest and biggest privilege of my life. I will never forget it! Momma went to be with Jesus and our prayer was answered.

My Morning Ramblings ©️

90 Years 𝅘𝅥𝅮𝅘𝅥𝅮

I’ve been rattling around in these bones for 90 years
Had some times and I’ve had some tears

I’ve hit my low and I’ve hit my high
Ask myself why oh why

Why the good and why the bad
Now just a collection of memories that I had

You never know the road you’ll walk
So you keep on going and talk the talk

I’ve been rattling around in these bones for 90 years
Had some times and I’ve had some tears

Through it all I have to say
It was only God who helped me find my way

I’ve done some wrong and I’ve done some right
Praise the Lord I fought the fight

Giving all I am to Him
Praise the Lord I’d do it again

Oh praise the Lord
I’d do it again!
